There is something about vinyl that I just don't hear from digital, although I am yet to hear what one might call a truly 'state of the art' streaming system. A friend of mine played me some records on a small range of turntables. I had an interesting evening a couple of days ago.

Not in my system it doesn't! With both options, I am using BubbleUPnP as a control point on an Android tablet. The concensus of opinion is that JRMC DLNA sounds better and MinimServer offers greater reliability. Once again, this seems to go against the grain. The ultimate aim is to achieve MinimServer sound quality with JRiver Media Center DLNA reliability. but at the moment it is working well and providing a faster response than my HomeHub 3 at 2GHz only on Channel 11. Everyone tells me that this doesn't work. I simply set it as default, using both 2GHz and 5GHz to optimize the connection.
This router had steadfastly resisted all attempts to make it work a couple of weeks ago. Having nothing better to do this afternoon, I figured that I would try to get by BT HomeHub5 to work. I agree that it does seem to sound a little better. I tried that out but with the 'standard' stream option rather than the 'further improvement'. I have used the free version of Fidelizer for many years, on my media server and on the pc connected to my stereo system. What have been successful up-sampling to? That’s it, a further step forward in audio quality…….

Right click on MinimServer icon in notification area and open Properties go to Packages and install minimstreamer-0.5.12 if it has not already been installed. Once the files are extracted find the ffmpeg.exe file, and copy to the MinimServer folder (default MinimServer path is C:\Program Files\MinimServer\), replacing the original ffmpeg file.

To try this out we need a version of ffmpeg which includes sox I used the Zeranoe 64bit static build (32bit version also available) and used the archive utility 7zip to unpack the file. Improved gapless handling, as well as quite a few small features. Added support for some lossy formats (mp3, aac etc.).

I have noticed that the last Minim Streamer update includes an option to select libsoxr, whose resampling algorithms are said to be superior to the standard ffmpeg. It supports WAV and FLAC, BitPerfect and gapless playback, and even single VST for RC (requires bit-depth upconversion to at least 24 bits). if it could do tidal mqa and dsd that would be one amazing all in one piece of software.First I like to take the opportunity to thank Marcin and Josef for all the work they have put into JPlay6, you guys have redefined what is achievable from computer audio using Windows. it is such great home theatre software i have always been a big fan, especially with foxtel, netflix, amazon and kayo sports addons being added this year. I really wish kodi would up their audiophile game.
Im wondering if there are any other android apps that integrate tidal as well as local media. but because i am cheap i never forked out for roon. MinimServer: 0$untagged$*i10 isn't a valid containerīoth lumin and linn kazoo have always been abit slow with loading metadata ect. MinimServer: incorrect format for container ID '' i will post on there, from the reading i have already done on there it seems that the lumin app should work very well with minim, its just strange, and i never had this problem before the new router.Īnyway in the log file there is some error messages but i think they are just song format issues, here they are. There are users there, plus Simon who may know those Apps. Also check MinimServer log to see whether any error messages are popping up.Īlso, suggest posting on MinimServer forum. Suggest checking doc of each, ports required, recheck the modem, router have correct ports, no firewall anywhere blocking. So can isolate problem to Linn Kazoo and Lumin App accessing MinimServer. Good to know Bubble UPnP is working with MinimServer and Foobar.
